The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow level to join its Center for Wellness Research and Training (CWRT) in the Department of Wellness and Preventive Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. CWRT is the home of a growing team of mind-body medicine researchers with expertise in mindfulness-based interventions, mental health, health equity, integrative oncology, and non-pharmacological interventions for pain and chronic disease management. The Center has five investigators with multidisciplinary expertise, including two two licensed clinical psychologists (PhDs), two naturopathic physicians (NDs), and one allopathic physician (MD). The department also includes over 40 clinicians including physicians, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, acupuncturists, Chinese herbalists, psychotherapists, massage therapists, yoga instructors, and culinary medicine specialists.
CWRT has strong research mentorship, research grant administration, and project support staff as well as relationships with the Cleveland Clinic Center for Value Based Care Research, the Lerner Research Institute, and investigators across the Clinic’s specialty institutes. The successful fellow will receive hands-on experience assisting investigators with a range of extramurally funded (e.g., NIH, American Heart Association) clinical intervention trials. Responsibilities include:
· Draft reports, abstracts and manuscripts
· Conduct literature review and meta-analysis
· Assist with grant writing and research project support
· Perform data analyses
By the start of the fellowship, the candidate should have a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field. We are especially interested in candidates with a strong research background and interest in mind-body interventions, mental health, health equity, chronic pain, stress, and/or integrative oncology. Strong skills in quantitative data analysis are required. Other qualifications include a track record of peer-reviewed publications in health psychology, integrative, and/or behavioral medicine. Strong skills in qualitative analyses are desired but not required.
